Thomas Frandsen, MD

Meet Dr. Frandsen

Dr. Frandsen was born and raised in Missoula and graduated from Hellgate High School where he participated in a variety of sports, choir and band. He grew up hunting and fishing frequently with his father. He then went to college at the University of Redlands, graduating at the top of his class. He did cancer research for a year, then attended Dartmouth Medical School. Upon his graduation from Dartmouth he was voted to receive the Best Future Physician award by his peers. He decided to become a Family Physician because it offers the increasingly rare opportunity to step back and look at the entire canvas of a patient’s life, providing care for all of a patient’s needs and often for an entire family. He especially loves pediatric care. Dr. Frandsen did residency training at the Family Medicine Residency of Idaho in Boise. His goal was always to return to his home of Montana, leading him to work in Stevensville for five years after completing his training.

He loves spending time with his wife Amy, and three children Quinn, Oakley and Finn. He is an avid outdoorsman and spends most of his free time camping, fishing, hunting and hiking. He is excited to own his own practice, Missoula Family Medicine, in his hometown.
